Founder
Vera Famme founded Mivian Consulting in 2014 with a clear mission—to help public sector, not-for-profit, and independent organizations create meaningful, lasting change. With a deep commitment to impact-driven work, Mivian Consulting brings expertise, collaboration, and a client-focused approach to every engagement.

Community/Stakeholder Engagement
We were engaged to facilitate conversations with targeted communities in the City of Mississauga to support the development of the Healthy City Strategy. Our two-person consulting team began by analyzing demographic data to identify key communities of focus—those with a high incidence or risk of Type 2 Diabetes and traditionally underserved populations. Using these insights, we designed and implemented an engagement strategy that included a community-wide survey and tailored focus groups to ensure meaningful participation and feedback.
Leadership Coaching
The Black Health Alliance engaged Vera to facilitate a leadership development session focused on team dynamics and growth. We guided the team through a personality inventory, followed by individual debriefs and one-on-one coaching sessions. Using the results as a foundation, we led discussions on leadership and communication styles, as well as strategies for effectively managing conflict.
Project Management
We supported the establishment of a Black Health and Social Services hub in Peel Region, a critical and high-profile initiative funded by the Ministry of Health. Given its complexity and political scrutiny, our team of four consultants set up a transformation management office, designed a governance structure, developed reporting templates, and implemented a regular meeting schedule. Beyond strategic planning, we actively contributed to deliverables, providing both hands-on support and expert guidance as needed.
